Who am I? What am I? Where am I?

It is hard to answer above questions with this small intellect but when I tried to do so, the answers keep changing from time to time. I am not the same person as yesterday and I will be not the same tomorrow. At surface level everything appears changing in the world but deep inside me there is something unchanging. Knowing that unchanging within me reminds that I am eternal. Well I cannot express the unchanging within me. But I can express what the journey of that unchanging has been in the continuous changing world.

My name's Chandra S. Sarap, Ph.D. I am from India, born and brought up in Hyderabad (well know as city of pearls). I enjoyed my childhood with my brother, parents and friends. As I grown up, my life leaned towards science. Inspired by Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam (Missile man, great scientist and former president of India), I wanted to become a scientist at the tender age of 8 years. Now when I look back my life, I am surprised to see myself. Today I have a PhD in Computational Chemistry from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER-TVM), India and worked as research scientist (postdoctoral research associate) at Institute for Computational Physics, University of Stuttgart, Germany and Mississippi State University, USA (currently working).

As a PhD and postdoctoral research associate in Asia (India), Europe (Germany) and USA, I have progressed my career as a adaptable researcher with expertise in computational chemistry and material science to study optoelectronic properties of small molecules, biomolecules and materials, for use in solar cells, biosensing, batteries, nanopores/filters, organic semiconductors, polymers, photonics and spintronics leading to successful completion of 12 lead and 6 collaborative projects.

I have strong oral and writting communication skills to convey complex technical information comprehensively evident by 16 high impact peer-reviewed publications, 3 computational grant funding (15 million+ CPU hours equivalent to $150,000), 8 invited talks/seminars and 20+ scientific presentations.

With proven leadership skills, I have spearheaded and managed the research projects with multiscale molecular modeling as evidenced by the extensive demonstrated expertise in standard computational chemistry softwares including Gaussian16, VASP, NWChem, QChem, Gamess-US, ORCA and programming with python, Mathematica and shell-script.

Apart from research, I am also associated with International association for human values (IAHV) and spend my precious time as a volunteer for better world. I have been up-skilled (with 1000+ hours training) in leading evidence-based breath-work, stress management tools, positive psychology, and service learning demonstrated by organizing mental health and wellness workshops benefiting well-being of the individuals and communities.

In short, skilled in material design, research innovation, collaboration, management, team building and troubleshooting with scientific communication. Professional wellness coach with a passion to serve people around me for the well-being of the society.

Well those who want me know very quickly, here we go:
